Second Chance-WIP

I've actually developed a pretty heart felt relationship between Bundy and Mary-Bell.

Ted never had a father, didn't "have" a mother until he was out of college (he was told she was his sister), and because of his atrocious crimes, never had a chance to raise his daughter, one of the few people he ever actually cared about.

Mary-Bell never had a father either, until her prostitute mother married a horribly abusive, murder-suspect who attempted to kill Mary twice and sexual molested her multiple times. Her mother even forced her into committing sexual acts when she was 9.

In S.E.R.I.A.L.S., Bundy sees her as an innocent little girl he can take advantage of...until one night he wakes up to her about to slit his throat. He sees this as something endearing, reminding him of the "crazy shenanigans" he got into at her age...so he takes her under his wing as a protégé. What started out as him just teaching the next generation the ropes of murder, turns into a God Bless America-ish ([link]) father-daughter relationship.

He protects her from other crazies in the apartment like Fish or Bathory. She's the daughter he never got a chance to raise. She sees him as the only good man who's ever come into her life.



The sad part about S.E.R.I.A.L.S. is that there's actually a deep, thought-out story behind it that I've never gotten the chance to properly express, and Bundy and Bell's relationship is one of the major plot points to the over arching story. But, alas, I doubt I'll ever actually do it until Im older and have the time to make a serious graphic novel about redemption and second chances....
